Cold, foggy and then – unexpectedly – sunny. The last market of June delivered the full High Country winter experience.
Saturday 28 June started the way winter markets often do in Mansfield: frost on the ground, fog rolling through the valley, and the kind of chill that makes you question every decision you’ve ever made before 8am. And then, just as the market was hitting its stride, the sun came out.
It’s one of those mornings that reminds you why the Mansfield Farmers’ Market has been running since 2009. The stallholders show up regardless, the regulars come rugged up regardless, and by mid-morning it’s buzzing!
June wrapped up a solid first half of the market year – fresh produce from Verduci, loaves from Boonderoo Bread and Turkish Star Bread, honey from The 3 Bees, spirits from Swiftcrest Distillery, sweets from Delatite Special Occasions and Maindample Fudge, and wine from Young Tree Wines.
